A Bit About Me

With over a decade of experience and a comprehensive educational background in Theatre, Film, and Teaching I am committed to fostering a motivating and engaging learning environment for my students. As both a teacher in the public education system, a theatre arts director, a performer and storyteller, and more importantly as a father of 3, I focus on meeting each student at their individual level, and providing tailored support to enhance their educational experience while incorporating their unique character and sense of self.

I've served as a Specials teacher for students Kindergarten through 5th grade, a Theatre Arts Director and Teacher for High School students, and I have had the privilege of working for the Walt Disney World company as a performer. What this means for your students is that they will receive a vast level of expertise from a large spectrum of working in the public school system and individualized attention from arguably the world's best (and most magical) model for customer service. I've seen what does and does not work in the classroom. With my skills, I can guarantee to get your student excited about their work, and engaged in a way that means something to them while nourishing successful results.

Academic success happens only when students see the 'why' behind their work and can attach the importance of what they are learning to their own, personal lives. Classrooms are crowded, teachers are overwhelmed, and the lack of support for your student in the school system is failing them. I connect with students so that they can be themselves AND succeed in school, and not have to sacrifice one for the other. My objective is to serve as a dedicated advocate for your student's success, nurturing their passion for learning, and aiming to get them excited and proud of what they are doing in English Language Arts, testing and/or performances & presentations.
